Solo competition for 80 people, one 500-piece puzzle without a picture - competitors receive an opaque bag of pieces; the original box with the motif is handed over only after that competitor finishes.
Time limit: 01:30:00.
Entry fee: CZK 400
Team competition for 20 teams of 4 in four uninterrupted parts. Each person registers individually; team composition is determined randomly by the organizer.
In total, teams assemble 7×500 + 1×1000.
Time limit: 05:00:00. All puzzles are wrapped so the motif is not visible in advance.
Entry fee: CZK 800 per person
Each of the four team members starts at their own 500-piece puzzle. Each puzzle has a different motif.
Every 8 minutes a signal sounds and actively assembling members move clockwise to the next unfinished puzzle.
A member who finishes a puzzle no longer assembles actively - they may advise verbally but must not touch pieces or puzzles. Remaining members rotate only among unfinished puzzles.
Part 1 ends when all four 500-piece puzzles have been finished and checked.
The team splits into two pairs (chosen by the members) and each pair gets one 500-piece puzzle.
Pair composition does not change and competitors do not move between the two puzzles.
The pair that finishes earlier may advise the other verbally but must not touch that pair’s puzzle.
Part 2 ends when both 500-piece puzzles have been finished and checked.
The whole team assembles one new 500-piece puzzle together.
After the referee’s check, the team continues immediately to the final part.
The team assembles one 1000-piece puzzle together.
Final time is counted from the shared competition start until this puzzle is finished.
For the team competition, two tables will always be joined together.
The competition takes place at the Aula Jihočeské univerzity in České Budějovice. The campus is reachable by public transport - stop Jihočeská univerzita.
