Apology for error during the awards ceremony

Unfortunately, we made a mistake during the results announcement, which we really regret.

As at most national championships around the world, our rules state that the awards for 1st-3rd place are reserved for participants from the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, we mistakenly awarded prizes to a Slovak pair and a Slovak team, even though according to our rules, a different pair and team should have reached third place. In this article, we already state the correct, corrected results.

We would like to emphasize that the Slovak competitors performed excellently, received their prizes at the competition, and their placement in the results list remains valid. To prevent a similar situation in the future, international competitors will have their own category from the next edition, in which they will be able to be awarded. In this way, representatives of other countries will not lose out on winnings.

We know that we cannot return the moment of the announcement to the winners, but we are doing everything we can to ensure that the situation is rectified at least in material and symbolic terms. We are in contact with the winners and they will receive puzzles and medals as compensation from our side.
